I study wine professionally, but WINE, LIVED is not written from a podium.
It grew out of the way I actually learn about wine: tasting, reading, travelling, meeting people, asking too many questions and occasionally changing my mind when the glass gives me a reason to. I ’m interested in the things that sit behind the tasting note. Why the same grape becomes something completely different in another landscape. Why one vineyard survives while another disappears. Why two people can taste the same bottle and disagree completely. And why some wines stay with us long after we have forgotten what they technically tasted like.
This is not a site about knowing all the answers. It is about learning how to ask better questions and finding useful things along the way.
